I practice yoga because it brings balance to my sometimes chaotic life and I think it’s made me a better Realtor. In an industry where time is of the essence and I rush from one thing to the next, trying to balance work and family it’s good to slow down a few times a week and focus on one thing, no multi-tasking allowed.
Curious how I made this connection? Here are 3 ways yoga has made me a better Realtor;
1.) Yoga reminds me to breathe. This is something I often tell my clients to do, step back, take a deep breath and remain calm. We’ll figure out a solution to the problem, we just need to take it one step at a time and remain focused on our goal.
2.) Yoga helps me hone my focus. As a Realtor you wear a lot of hats. One minute you’re negotiating a contract and the next you’re discussing the latest marketing strategies or researching a new listing. Being able to focus on one thing at a time allows me to take care of my clients needs while also building my business.
3.) Finally yoga helps me relieve stress. It helps me pause, see the big picture and let go. And that’s not an easy thing to do in this industry, because it never ends. But at the end of the day we all need to find a way to relax and get a good nights sleep. This is what gives us the energy to start all over again the next day.
These are just a few ways yoga has made me a better Realtor. I’m sure there could be a few more but my time is up. I have to complete this task and move on to the next one.
