How to Prepare your Home to Sell
Every single home needs to be prepped to sell. Turns out when you live in a home it gets dirty and things break. That's what we call life. But home buyers don't want that. They want their potential new home to feel and look a certain way. That's why at a minimum we ask our sellers to tackle the following, we consider these the basics.
Paint: Painting is one of the easiest things you can do to update your home to sell. A fresh coat of paint will instantly make the room feel cleaner. Bonus points for choosing a fresh neutral color. And please don't forget to paint the trim.
Flooring: Dirty and stained carpet is the biggest offender but don't forget to polish those hardwood floors or replace those outdated vinyl floors.
Fix Broken Items: If it's broke you need to fix it. It's that simple. Buyers notice these things and they all add up.
Declutter: Buyers can not see past your stuff.
Clean: A clean house feels good and can often times make all the difference.
Never underestimate the power doing the basics. They pack a punch and will make a difference in how your home looks and feels online and in person.
