Tangletown was named for the winding streets in the neighborhood that do not conform to a normal grid. And every street is just as pretty as the next. The neighborhood boundaries are 46th Street to the north, Interstate 35W to the east, Diamond Lake Road to the south, and Lyndale Avenue South to the west. Minnehaha Creek runs through the south side of the neighborhood. If you're local you may recognize the Washburn Park Water Tower but what you may not know is that it's located at the neighborhoods highest point.

Our favorite Tangletown hangouts include Wise Acre Eatery, seriously they have the prettiest patio in all of Southwest Minneapolis and if you're looking to add a little something to your home, inside and out Tangletown Gardens is an absolute must stop.

The Windom neighborhood is home to our favorite brewery, Wild Mind Ales, which is a must see if you're in the neighborhood. We love the atmosphere, beautiful colors, and let's not forget the beer!

If we're in Armatage you're going to find us at Red Wagon or Pizzeria Lola. I guess we have a thing for wood-fired pizza, is it us or the kids? When you're done eating and it's time to get a few things done around the house forgo the big box stores and pop in to Settergrens Hardware, they're an old-fashioned hardware store and we absolutely adore them. All you need to do is walk in and you will be greeted and helped and trust me when I tell you that they know how to do everything. Bonus you can eat popcorn while you shop.

Matt_Engen_Group_Neighborhoods_Linden-Hills

This neighborhood is nestled between Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet and is home to many one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants. The homes in Linden Hills are some of our favorites mostly because we have a thing for old homes and front porches. If you have the time grab a cone at Sebastian Joe's and stroll along Linden Hills Blvd. A little bit of history for you, this neighborhood gets its name from the Linden trees that flank it's beautiful streets. It's bordered to the north by Lake Calhoun and West 36th Street, to the east by Lake Harriet and William Berry Parkway, to the south by West 47th Street, and to the west by France Avenue.

Neighborhood Public Schools:

What do we like to do in Linden Hills other than admire all the beautiful houses?  We like to eat. Martina is our current favorite. This neighborhood is also home to our dentist, if you're looking for a dentist, the crew at Linden Hills Dentistry is top notch.

East Harriet extends from 36th Street on the north, Lyndale Avenue South on the east, West 46th Street on the sound and William Berry Parkway, Lakewood cemetery and Lake Harriet to the west. Its home to the Rose Garden, the Peace Garden and Roberts Bird Sanctuary and the historic home of Theodore Wirth, who played a very important role in our Minneapolis Parks. His home is situated on a hill on Lyndale Farmstead Park which offers athletic fields, an ice rink in the winter, a pickleball court and a playground for the kiddos. Located just outside of Uptown and close to downtown there's always something to do if you live in East Harriet.
